“In the depth of winter I finally learned that within me there was an invincible summer.”

Albert Camus

We have the warmth we need within us but it doesn’t hurt to have some help as reminders. While we’re going through the coldest month of the year, the global south are enjoying the hot summer days at the beach, outdoor gatherings, and enjoying carnaval.

Through the partnership between Arte Original and La Cosecha, we are happy to present 10 Latin American artists through this exhibition to bring in warmth and color to our cold February. A few of the artists whose paintings we will be presenting are Julián Villafañe (Venezuela), Paula Dünner (Chile), Víctor Asuaje (Venezuela), and Belén Larroulet (Argentina). We guarantee that you will not see their artworks anywhere else in the States other than with us. That’s what we do — bring well known and emerging talent from Latin America to the U.S. art lovers.

La Cosecha is a contemporary Latin American marketplace in Washington, DC that celebrates centuries of heritage. As a cultural embassy, La Cosecha is designed for community and conversation with a philanthropic mission to foster business education throughout Latin America. Their experiences are curated in partnership with Latin American embassies, eclectic tastemakers and artistic contributors. Aligned by the mission to cultivate a dynamic community of art lovers, Arte Original is presenting our sixth curated exhibition at their balcony space.

The inauguration event will be between 5pm to 7pm on February 4th. Enjoy the Saturday evening with Chilean wine from Grand Cata while looking at the colorful artworks. Our CEO will be there to tell you more about the artists. In case you can’t make it to this event, no need to worry. The exhibition will be up for 4 weeks. Want to know more about the artist?
